133. Round Tower Graveyard, Ireland.
These are early medieval stone towers found mainly in Ireland and generally in the vicinity of a church or monastery and often surrounded by an old graveyard. This one is situated in a glacial valley in County Wicklow, Ireland, in an early Medieval monastic settlement that was founded in the 6th century by St Kevin. Interestingly, the door of the tower normally faces the West doorway of the church.
